FVMQ
Fluorosilicone (FVMQ) has the capability to operate across a very wide temperature range. It demonstrates excellent resistance to diester lubricants, ozone, and weathering. Combining the advantageous properties of fluorocarbons and silicones, FVMQ offers significant benefits for sealing solutions in many applications. With good electrical strength and moderate oil resistance, FVMQ also provides excellent durability against weathering, ozone, mineral oils, chemicals, flames, and heat.
However, FVMQ also has its disadvantages; it is notably expensive and not suitable for use with phosphate esters. Similar to silicone, FVMQ has low physical strength and poor gas impermeability.
The typical operating temperature range of FVMQ is between -60°C and +200°C, making it a preferred material for a wide variety of demanding conditions.
